Lean Into It: Non-Commital Gallery
On Display Thursday: Leaning Artwork on Ledges, Shelves and More
Nervous about making a whole bunch of holes in your walls? Like to change things up too often to commit to a single location for your artwork? Then this idea may be just what you need. Leaning signs, artwork and photographs on ledges, shelves and mantels is the perfect way to achieve purposeful decorating placement without the commitment!
Why "Leaning" is Great:
- No holes in the walls!
- Easily change the display anytime you wish.
- Combine frames, signs & three dimensional decor in one grouping.
Things to Consider:
- Make sure the ledges are deep enough that the items aren't likely to fall and break or hurt anyone - especially in homes with children.
- Secure your shelving to the wall with anchors or into studs for added stability to safely carry the weight of several objects.
Here are some great examples of how several folks around the web have used the "leaning" approach to beautifully display decorative printables, signs, photographs, and more.
"On-Display Thursdays" is a series here at SignsByAndrea.com meant to show off fabulous ways to display inspiring words in your world through signs, posters, prints, monograms and more. Subscribe to my feed to check in each week to see what we've found!

In my home office above my desk, I have a painting that reads "...when I grow up I want to be an artist." And wouldn't you know it? I think perhaps that's what I've been all along!
