Zazzle Canvas Review
A Detailed Look at Zazzle's Wrapped Canvas Prints
Recently, I ordered several of my "You Are My Sunshine" wrapped canvases from Zazzle so that I could hold them in my hands and give them a good once over. I'm happy to say I'm *totally* impressed with the quality of these stretched canvas prints. They are simply gorgeous!
I ordered both an 11" x 14" version as well as an 8" x 10" version to see how they looked at different sizes. I like the larger version as a stand-alone piece of artwork hung on the wall, while the smaller version would be an awesome addition to a collection or grouping or even set upon a bookshelf.

8" x 10" (below)
For this particular "You Are My Sunshine" design, there's an even larger 16" x 20" version, which would really make a big impact! And for many of the canvases that Zazzle artists sell, you can order sizes all the way up to huge 40" x 50" canvases!
The color saturation and print quality of Zazzle canvases exceed expectations. You get the depth and texture of canvas, without losing the sharp quality of a digital print. Plus, the nature of a wrapped canvas makes it have this custom-made artwork "feel" to it, that a poster or print doesn't quite have.
Here's what Zazzle has to say about their canvas quality and features:
Zazzle's gloss canvas is made from an additive-free cotton-poly blend and features a special ink-receptive coating that protects the printed surface from cracking when stretched. Made with a tight weave ideal for any photography or fine art, our instant-dry gloss canvas produces prints that are fade-resistant for 100+ years.
Fade-resistant? Awesome! No cracking. Even better. :)
The printed design wraps completely around the solid wood frame and is securely stapled to the back. Each canvas also includes a flat wire hanging system that allows you to hang the canvas directly on a nail so it will hang flush to the wall without leaving any gaps.
I chose the 1.5" wrap option for these canvases, which I think looks really nice--it's substantial, but not overly thick, which I think is good especially for these smaller portrait-sized canvases. Then they can work well for both wall-hanging as well as shelf-sitting displays.

That said, you can also order many of Zazzle's canvases (such as my Dated Wall Art designs) with a .75" or 2.5" wrap if you like a more slim line or chunkier look. The 2.5" size would be great for larger canvases that you wanted to be able to stand alone on a shelf, giving them a wider and sturdier support base.
And get this...you can preview any canvas on your own wall with their new RealView technology before you ever buy it! That way you can be sure it'll fit and look great when it arrives at your door. How cool is that?
Zazzle artists like myself have all kinds of really cool canvas designs to choose from, and you can also design your own using your personal artwork or photographs. Oh...the possibilities! :)

In my home office above my desk, I have a painting that reads "...when I grow up I want to be an artist." And wouldn't you know it? I think perhaps that's what I've been all along!

Those prints are beautiful! The colors and the saying is just perfect! A few blogger friends and I have initiated a January challenge called "Imagine the Impossibilities". It would be so fun if you want to participate!
